Had to take the Subi down to the dealership to get some parts to re-attach the protective underskin at the front of the car (Still have to come up with $4,000 to get cylinder 2 and 3 rebuilt—and a fucking battery, and renew the AMA road service) so I went to the closest one and they don't have the little plastic flanged screws that attach it or the 2 brackets where it attaches to the bumper?!!! That's retarded!

So I call the other dealer way down in the South and they have hundreds of both. So I head down there and the parts guy says :Ill get one of the techs to put it up on the hoist so he can see exactly what you need.

Tech comes, gets the car to take it in. I had to boost the battery cause it wouldn't start and chatted with him as I did that. Then he started it up pulled it into the garage and hoisted it up. I followed the car in and notice he's blasting Dead Kennedys at his tool bar and told him I was stoked about that. So he fucks around under the car for a minutes, goes to his part drawers and back under the car. 2 minutes later he's letting the car down and tells me he put all new connectors on it so it'd no longer risk dragging on the road and asked if I wanted to take it from there. I relied that I had to go in and pay and he says, Don't worry about, I got it covered, I'll just tell them it was bent and lose and I tightened it and let you go.

Fuckin A!!! Only shred of good luck I've had in months!!! Hoping its a harbinger of good things to come!

That's cool. Usually, techs are cool. It's the service managers and everyone above them that are crooked fucking pricks.

Fun fact: those little plastic screws...auto body shops always have a shit ton of them too.
