Made in China. I'll stick with Aces.
I used to put inverted gingpins in my old Indys and my Thunders (which were awesome) but just don't need them now. |

First run I took on Aces reminded me of Stage II Indys with the slightly faster geometry of a old Thunder which I also love—best damn combo I have found except the latest Bennett Vectors which out turn everyone and the flat name plate grinds faster and further—especially on 50-50s!
Haven't tried the new Ace yet. I know I'm going to miss the hump on the hanger, I'm sure I'm going to not only dig the new Aces, but prefer them to almost everything else.
Even when it comes to Downhill trucks I chose Kahalani's orginal cnc'd version (not their cast trucks) because, even though they are cantilevered, they somehow felt like Stage II Indys with super soft bushings to me—just the way I like it!

I bought some stage 11 hollow kingpin Indy trucks and don’t like them. Seriously considering those baseplstes. Love the stage V trucks I have. I have a pair of Ace that I need to give another look…but don’t have a deck I like with new drilling to put them on. Seems like I collected a bunch of parts in a pretty short amount of time considering I’ve only started skating again last Memorial Day. |
