a few I can think of:

Gang Green - Voices Carry (Til Tuesday)
Weston - Always on my Mind (Willie Nelson)
Sheer Terror - Boys Don't Cry (the Cure)
Black Flag - Louie Louie (did the Kingsmen originally do this song?)
Social Distortion - Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash)

Manic Hispanic rocks...

Anyways, as far as punk covers go, I like Sick Of It All's version of all hell breaks loose..

But who could forget Ace Of Spades by Battalion Of Saints

Slayer's version of the Verbal Abuse songs (VA,Leeches,Desinigration(sp) )

There's my list of cover songs that make me happy

Schlong's entire coverage of the "West Side Story" soundtrack & Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" albums.

Alkaline Trio doing "The Metro" by Berlin.
25th Century Quakers doing "Jet" by Wings.
Lee Harvey Oswald Band doing "Junior's Farm" by Wings.
Smithwick Machine doing "Black Country Rock" by Bowie.
The Melvins doing "The Ballad of Dwight Frye" by Alice Cooper.

I could go on and on and on....
