Hi, I'm new to the forum an I have a question for all the experts. I just ordered a Hustler Deck that hasn't arrived yet and I'm wondering what truck width will work the best. I think 169's with G-Bones or Bowl Bombers may be a bit too narrow. I'm running Tracker Dart 184's on my DP full with Bones SPF 60's and love it. What do you guys think?

I think you should ride your own companies boards.

Yeah, If only I could skate like Lance of the Mountain variety. But seriously, 169's or 184's with a wedged front. I'll probably end up with BowlBombers on them.

LanceM, my friend, welcome.

All you need to do is unbolt that set from the DP and bolt in on the Hustler. It's going to be much heavier than you are used to but those trucks will be great. The board's wheel wells are positioned for exactly that size of trucks. I happen to ride the Six Tracks on mine (161mm) which will work well too. You will be able to run your trucks much looser on this set up due to the 18.25" wheelbase. You will be a carving machine.

I have run wedges on both front and back with my Six Tracks but never just the front one. I bet that would be a great scheme. Chime back in when you get it set up.

Those are Shitfires and 184mm Darts.

Thanks for the recommendations. I think I'll go with the 184's. Hey Milehigh, are those wedged risers? If so, how do you have them set up? Do you prefer Bowl Bombers or Shitfires?

You need to wedge the Hustler with the fat end(s) toward the center of the board for quicker turn response.

screw the wedges....put some Randall 180's with 1/8 inch risers...youll out turn ANYTHING. i ride mine with shitbirds blackfarts and Randalls and it hauls ass and turns crazy quick, but not floppy like when you run an Indy loose.

Depends who you ask. Most guys think anything over 34" is. 36" is a regular sized deck for me. When you're 6'1", 34" is a just a little too short for an everyday deck.
