I recently got together with a couple of buds I haven't skated with in 25 yrs. and one of them knowing my addiction to slalom racing busts out an old Henry Hester slalom deck that somewhere along the line got painted flat black, BUT!! it's complete w/ original Midtracks AND!! Hester Road Riders.!!!

Anyways I'd really like to get the flat black paint off of it somehow without ruining the bowtuff....but, to make matters worse, I'm not sure of the paint type...

Alot of the original reddish brown color is showing through where the deck flexes the most. So it seems the paint doesn't have a real heavy duty bond...

Can any one help me out with a pic of this deck and any suggestions on what to do (or not to do) to restore it. I'd like to see it back to it's original glory and hopefully offer my "bestest friend in the whole wide world" a fair price for it...

Thanks in advance, Tele
