Only if fishing counts. I'm not against hunting game in the woods, I'm just not into it.

I got tons of fish recipes.

I don't do it myself, but had some BBQd Elk heart not too long ago. Had some Joy of Cooking- "get out your fine wine sauce" poured over it.

Wild game
Kill it, age it, season it (no salt), bbq it until rare, salt and pepper, eat it.

Salmon
filet the bastard
season with lemon juice, chopped fresh cilantro and parsely, dehydrated Basil and ground pepper and a touch of garlic powder and dill weed.
butter some tinfoil and put the filets in and fold it closed
BBQ for 7 minutes (don't even look at it)
hit it with some salt
eat it

Good castiron pan. Heat the sucker up real hot. Coat fish with some good cajun seasoning and cook it up in the hot pan.

Salmon is by far my favorite food - and being in the NW is perfect. Watch the suckers swim right up the river a bock away...you'd be shocked at the sheer numbers (Even though they are actually at dangerous lows) of salmon spawning a few times each year. Watching the dead monsters floating dead downstream and the battered ones going up...you can smell em a block away.

Anyway, my perfect salmon recipe? Grilled/BBQd...add zero. I like it flaky more than the raw done...or cooked hella hot for a short period of time is acceptable. The alder plank is good as well. I enjoy the bells and whistles, but when it comes down to it -plain is best.

Some Uncle Dans is always good when it floats over from the salad.

Not much salmon down here in Alabama, but, Slob's recipe looks tits-up!

Catfish? Hell yes! This one is easy as pie. Check it...

Take 3 WHOLE catfish (about 1 lb. each), cut their heads off, gut & clean 'em, skin 'em. (You'll need pliers for this part. they have skin, not scales.)
Soak 'em in buttermilk for about an hour.
Take 'em out & pat 'em dry.
Coat outsides of fish with creole mustard. (Any spicy brown mustard will do in a pinch.)
Roll fish in cracker meal. (You can find this in certain specialty stores, or you can make your own. MAKE SURE the meal is fine. Like almost dust. Seriously.)
Pan fry in peanut oil until outside is a golden brown and the meat flakes easily with a fork.
Eat. Watch out for bones.

If you're a real man, you won't even bother with taking the heads off. You'll stare into the dead eyes of the fish as you consume him, soaking up his energy and power.
