It was a sad day at Heavenly, Lake Tahoe last Saturday. My Palmer 158 with the channel bindings (about 9 years old) died. Well, actually, the binding separated about an inch from the board and is now unrepairable and unridable.

Anyway, on to new technology.

I bought a 2005 Burton Ross Powers 157 with some Technine Team 1 bindings and some Palmer PLS standard plates (I wear a size 11 and it's a narrow board) for $443 out the door. Seemed like a good deal for all new equipment and tax.

I can't wait to ride it. Has anybody else ridden the Powers? What do you think about it?
