thanks, yeah he was very happy, and he told me great stories..
I went back with his stack of pictures of him and my grand mother playing basketball in the 1940's ... great !
imagine in 70 year from now your grand son stocked on the pics of you skateboarding in the 80's, fluo shorts and hip bag .... ha! |

We were there on about the 14th and then headed back to California on the 18th so I just missed you. I agree it looked hard to skate - I wasn't up for much on my tweaked ankle so I just gave it a few turns and got out of it. My son amused himself by flying off the jump ramps and then we stuck around for a while grinding that angle iron coping on the banks. There was a pretty good Japanese skater there doing nice tail slides and such on the street box thing and also some ollie to fakies and kick flips and what not on the bank. |
