Wow! Oasis, I really like that mangrove tree deck design that is really creative. The Sears ones are a bit much, but I do like the woodcut design it would look great as a shirt. With all these great designs everyone has posted I'm having a hard time deciding what I should use, they are all awesome.
What does everyone else think? I'll try to post all the submission on my site http://www.geocities.com/gravesdigger17/Seriesskateboards.html (I promise I'm working on a better one). I value all your opinions, you all know skate art better than anyone else! Everyone who posts their opinion will get $5 off my first run of anything!
Which design should I use for a Deck?
Which design should I use for a Shirt? |

Yeah, I'd like to hear an answer to how the artist(s) will be compensated.
I have no problem with a company giving just a sample deck or whatever IF the artist knows this up front. What is NOT cool is an artist working hard and recieving nothing. Whatever form payment is in , they need to know from the start. This "contest" stuff is a bit misleading.
Bobby made the best point yet, you can't feed yourself or your family skateboard products... |

All you guys had to do is read the original post or my signature on each post. "In addition to having their design featured on our website, whoever wins the design competition gets the very first shirt or deck that is printed!"
So I wish I had a million dollars to pay designers because all the submissions have been awesome! but I don't. So I thought having your own art on a deck our shirt, free, is what I could do.
Sorry I didn't make it super clear earlier... my bad Thanks for your submissions everybody you're all great!
So far it looks like Tom, Oasis and SkaterX's designs are getting the most responsed. So what design does everybody think I should use for a deck and what for a shirt?
Everybody have an awesome 4th of July, and don't blow yer hands off with fireworks...Wyoming |
