So I enjoy a cool beer or a fine jack like everyone else...so I just bought a 20' 1920's Art Deco back bar. Guess it goes to the garage...
BUT does anyone have a brite idea how to move the fucking thing? Think cutting it up would ruin value? It's 20' and 1 piece! It's in a small town, so I can't just hire temp help to move the fucker. Slightly stressed about this actually...cause it has to be out of the place (5 hrs away) ASAP.
Thinking the big ol' U-haul... |

DO NOT CUT!!!!
Make sure the big U-Haul has a lift gate on the ass end. It'll be much easier. |

So no way am I cutting the thing now. I'm heading over this weekend and am going to take as much as I can off the bar - top parts, icebox doors, drawers, maybe the top...whatever can come off, I'm taking off - hopefully it won't require too many people - as there are few left in the town anyway. Taking advice...checked UHaul - the 24' will fit the sucker, just have to get it possibly down a few steps and into the truck. Fuck. Big haul next week...if they'll give me the time. |

i agree with everyone!!! do not cut it!!!! get the biggest truck you can. that seems to be your plan, and i'd say stick with it!!! once you have a chance lets see some pics of it! i've always wanted a bar at home, but space is always an issue. |

Totally - have no idea why I didn't take pics...it's really not extravagant - but it's definitely old school. Once I get the fridge/icebox working - it will certainly be the garage entertainment. |
