Exactly what kind of ink was used to print decks in the 80's, enamel, acrylic, etc?

And what is used today?
And where can I score some.

Hbomber.

Ya, I'm a graphic designer and work for a screen printing co. I picked up a
used 86' natas bulldog art deck to restore
I already recreated the whole design EXACT. in my computer and I'm working w/ the best manual screen printer in the new england area and I'm trying to fine the correct ink to use.
I need PRO.YELLOW, PRO.MAGENTA, PRO.BLUE/CYAN
MED.GREEN, BLACK & WHITE.

ANY ADVISE.

They only re-released the 87'natas graphic
not the 86' and I have both sizes of the re-
issues.

Think & Learn before you post.

Must be from Ohio.

Dude, this site is mostly about collecting skateboard memorabilia if you haven't noticed
and I've done more in life than you could know about - Skateboarding & beyond.

Oh by the way do you know what kind of ink
they used in the 80's?

Hey H,

I just picked up the exact same deck from a guy I know last weekend. We were talking about the 80's and he said he still had a Roskopp and a Natas somewhere. I pestered him to dig them out and when he found them he said "take 'em". I was stoked. The Roskopp has seen better days but the natas only has some minor scuffing, rail holes, tail holes and some stickers on it. It is red - sort of a stain but almost a paint. I want to touch it up and if you have done the groundwork on the colours I would really appreciate some help to locate the correct paint (this does not answer your question, but seeings we are working on the same project, we may as well help each other out!)
Would love to see the computer work.
Anyway, does anyone know what sort of paint was used in the 80's?

Thanks H

i believe that you can explore many venues and aspects of skating.to me,it's kind a like collecting baseball cards, but on a 3-dimensional scale.something you can enjoy and /or possibly use.

ohio:don't go raggin' on anybody's hoby and or pursuits on the sport,as they are contributing in their own ways...it's called INDIVIDUALISM!also,if your posts are going to be more hindering than helpful, please go back to the "TECH-DECK" website,as in that forum, would best suit you.
