The International Gravity Sports Association (IGSA) is very pleased to announce that G.F. Hurley Longboards will be sponsoring this Saturdays California Downhill Series #1 event at Frank G. Bonelli park in San Dimas, CA. G.F. Hurley will be the Downhill Skateboarding class sponsor and donate a $250 cash purse along with three skateboards for the top three finishers.
2006 will mark the second consecutive year that the IGSA has organized a series of gravity sports races in the Los Angeles suburb of San Dimas. High-speed Downhill Skateboarding and Street Luge competitions will headline each event. Additional classes for Gravity Bike, Classic Luge, and Inline Skating will also featured. The California Downhill Series events are designed for gravity sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
�We�re really happy to be returning to Bonelli Park for the second consecutive year�, said IGSA President Marcus Rietema. �In 2005 we introduced a lot of new racers to gravity sports who have the potential to become future stars. This is the perfect venue for amateurs and pros alike � he added.
The 2006 IGSA California Downhill Championship Series will be comprised of six events that will be held on two separate courses within Frank G. Bonelli Park. Each competitor�s best five finishes will count toward their final season points standing. Series Championship trophies will be awarded following the final event of the season.
The IGSA is an international sanctioning body for gravity racing sports, athletes and events, featuring a 7-race World Cup Championship Series for 2006.
