Watson was recently bought by Tum Yeto so I have no idea how that comes to bare on their business practices... good or bad.
Decent before, though their production schedule was tough to break into. |

When I was a kid(this probably doesnt help you now) My friends and I would skate up to Watson after school(when they were off Miramr Rd) and dig thhru the trash for discards and seconds- This was when he was doing up all the G & S decks.
We'd get a few a week and sell them to kids at school. He was quite a jackass if I remember correctly. At the time was when Billy Ruff, blender and a few others were the big names on G & S. The decks didnt last too long but that was back in 82-83 time period.
Hes now in south SD off the 5 near Natl. City.
and yes the info is correct Tod Swank now owns them

I emailed them once asking for pricing info and they had a 100 deck minimum order at $25-30 per deck. If your looking for an OEM that does small runs then I wouldnt suggest them. |

we sold some blanks at our shop that were from them.
we got 80% of them back delaminated.
the distro told me that was the case at all his shops. |

Realdeal - Are you sure it was Watson? SMA comes out of there and I've never seen a single one delam or warp.
Sounds more like the guys down the road who have a Canuck salesman calling all the shops. |

when did this 80% delamination occur? From what I can understand they are the bigger manufacturer out there and it seems their prices are a lot cheaper than others. Also if they were acquired by Tum Yeto they will do toy machine Foundation etc now... I don't think Tum Yeto likes getting 80% of his production to trash. |
