funny how us aussies get ripped off on cost of trucks Hambo.
ive riden Indies for 20 odd years and loved every minute unitl I discovered GrindKings for myself. Hard rubbers (thats bushings for non Ozzies not condoms....) in a bowl medium for bombing hills. anything else is out of my experience.
Oddly enough I have a Chinese (fish style) popout long board (38 inchs) with Indie (217mm I think) stage 3 clones for serious Hill Bombing (at Allawah for any Aussies out there)
Dont think Im in Ivan's league for experience on this subject but damn for a $100 Aussie dollars on ebay that board sure puts a smile on my dial
Ivan can you test some Skennets and airflow trucks please, Its my next purchase once I sell enough computer bits on ebay. |

Got some Kahalani trucks for my speedboard. These are sic. CNC'd, 8mm stepped axles, 204mm wide hanger and 45 baseplate with a low profile. They'll out turn an Indy too. Awesome!

Great write up!!
Maguns, definitely are not for everyone, and the recent increase in price should make most people think twice about buying them.
I compare them to a race car, they turn but they do not carve. I am unable to carve off speed and have to resort to slides and footbraking.
The next truck on my list is kahalani, the recent decrease in price makes them very appealing.
Maguns force me to bring two boards when traveling. However, I feel that with kahalani trucks I will be able to just bring one board, so that I can shred the local hills and still race.
Someone should include kooky trucks on that list. |
