The website hasn't updated in a while, so I just emailed them to be added onto their news email list.
Has anybody driven out there to see the progress yet? Taken any pics? I imagine the rain hasn't helped them move along very far. |

most recent picks from 3/10/08
looks like they need some drainage
I've been watching their blog/getting their update emails and it looks like they're running into idiot syndrome and are considering having the park open M-F until 5 PM and closed on weekends because that's the hours the municipal workers have. So until they get volunteers to open and close the park everyday, it's going to be FUBAR. I haven't volunteered being that I live 15 minutes away and am not a resident of Sebastopol. I just want to go and skate there sometimes, but we'll see what happens. |

So I cruised by on my way back from the beach just a bit ago and took these cell pics. There was a gap between the wall and fence but since I didn't have my board, all I could do was trespass and not skate.
This place looks good, long and not wide, but the pool is supertight and small, it should have been done on a much bigger scale.
I had a few more pics from the other side of the park, but I guess they got lost in the ether between my cell phone and the computer via email.
Besides the areas to the side, this place looks to be about done, the rest is just cosmetics. |

Very cool Craig. Shame on you for being boardless. |

Yeah that part kind of sucked. I had taken the day off to spend with my mother who was visiting for the week. I had already gone skating with the kids in the early a.m.
It's also pretty damn smokey here right now with all of the fires, so it's a little bothersome just being outside at all. |
