Has anyone tried either the Libtech TRS with Magnetration and Banana or the Banana Skate with Magnetraction? I am looking for some independent reviews on both. When I look at these boards, I think this is the first time in a while I've seen some real advancement in snowboarding technology, which interests me greatly. Also, how light are the boards (all the shops near me are sold out of both). Thanks!

I'd like to know about the skate bananna myself. I'd really like to see one in person. No one carries Lib snowboards around here. All the online stores I've checked are sold out.

I haven't ridden one of these, because they are just not available over here as the original distributor was kinda kicked out by Quiksilver.
From what I have heard the Magnetraction concept really works...as most stuff Lib Tech does/ did.
I'd say that they are very inventive.....and that's an understatement.
Lib Techs kick ass big time, I love them! I've been riding them since 1991.

Just got back from a weekend trip to Austria, Oetztal Glacier.
Snow conditions really sucked, pretty hard slopes, lack of fresh snow, almost no snow outside the slopes.
I was carving down my 151 Lib with these really old soft Airwalk Freeride boots.......because I got the technique...and power to do so.

Does anyone work at a shop that still might have either the Lib Tech Skate Banana 159 or the Lib Tech TRS w/ Magnetraction and Banana Technology? Or maybe you know someone high-up at Lib Tech and can help a brother out?

I've been looking everywhere for either to no avail.

I found a 159 Skate Banana today at St. Bernard Ski in New Mexico and bought it. I sent an email to Lib Tech through their website and they sent me this reply below. I hunted down contact numbers for each store and called them all. As soon as I found one, it was purchase time! I'll have it Friday and will let you know how it is.

Here's the email from the Lib Tech guy:

Most of our dealers have sold out of Lib Tech Bananas there might be some here and there but we don't know exactly what's left...but

Revolution has a Cygnus 161 Banana if ya get anyone looking....
