What are "these days"? I have a 2002 Martin D-15 that sounds and plays amazing. And was a reasonable price. |

Thank you everyone for all the advice.
Sticks, that is a good point, but I still feel like I want an acoustic. fingers be damned!
I've been looking at all the suggestions and reading a bunch. I would still like to keep it under 400 bucks. |

I'm not a musical person and can't play the guitar but I occasionally have the desire to pretend to be Pete Townsend, whatever. 15 minutes a day is quite a commitment to practice so mucho respect to players. I have a Yamaha FG700S acustic guitar that is pretty nice. I think you can buy them all day at Guitar Center for 199. Anyway, that's that. Good Luck with your search. |

Check out pawn shops in your area, go play their guitars, be a pain in the ass, make some noise, they will be tolerant... and it is a great place to figure out what you want. The price at a pawn shop may or may not be a great deal... research closed item prices on ebay. And haggle. |
