I’m moving to a town with an indoor! Yeah for winter skateboarding. I ride SPF 54mm on concrete and would like to hear what you all ride on slippery surfaces. I dread the slippery surface, but will ride it. |

Oddly enough, SPF's work well indoors on masonite. I was kind of shocked when I found this out. |

Wow, I guess I’ll give it a try. I assumed they’d be too slick. Hope it works, I prefer one set up for everything |

When I moved back to Oregon for the winter during COVID, I was skating the undercover big ramp in Clatskanie a bunch. I set up my board with the new 97a Spitfire Formula Four wheels. It was honestly the perfect durometer for those masonite ramps. And now they offer even more sizes and shapes, so you might find a set worth trying! |

Speedlab and Pocket Pistols wheels are also very good on indoor surfaces—perhaps a wee faster than the SPFs too.
However, in the case of Speedlab and Pocket Pistols wheels, make sure you have broken them in on the sidewalk before riding indoor 'crete. Only takes a quick boot down a clean quality concrete sidewalk to break them in. Couple minutes max and done!
I knew this. I warned everyone I sold them to and I sold a couple thousand sets. But at the last minute, and about to ride the combi pool at Van's Orange, I decided to throw on a brand new, right out of the wrapper, set of 63.5 Shitfires.
Blazing fast! I was so stoked until I hit the right side rear corner of the square round in the combi... |
